* Weather
Romany Kayaking reserves the right to make the decisions regarding the weather and conditions including when to cancel, reschedule, or go ahead.
When there is no safe way to continue, Romany Kayaking will cancel.
If Romany Kayaking decides to go ahead, we may change location, order of instruction, how something is taught, etc to minimize or avoid dangers from thunderstorms, high winds, dangerous waves, challenging temperatures and other weather conditions.
National standards are followed to keep you safe. For example, the National Weather Service recommendation for thunder and lightning is to stay off the water for 25-30 minutes afterwards. Another example is the American Canoe Association (ACA) recommendations regarding wind speeds & wave heights for a particular level of skill & experience.
Rain, forecasted weather, winds, waves, cold water, cold/hot temperatures, etc are not necessarily a reason to cancel. These can and often do become part of the instruction to increase your knowledge and ability to safely handle the conditions paddlers encounter.
Your safety is important and Romany Kayaking with 25+ years of experience endeavors to make sure you are safe and comfortable during it's programs.
